In the announcement, ANC Pharmacy revealed that the new integration will allow users to enjoy “instant payments when purchasing pharmacy products.” It is worth noting that checking out using Binance Pay will be initially accessible in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.
Nevertheless, contactless and instant payments will be available in ANC Pharmacy-operated stores, such as Shara and Kopiyka. ANC Pharmacy claims that it is the first pharmaceutical store to accept crypto as a payment method in Europe.
In the announcement, the ANC Pharmacy noted:
It is not for nothing that we have the status of the most innovative chain of pharmacies, which is constantly moving in the direction of digitalization!
ANC Pharmacy’s instructions indicate that customers must download the Binance application and visit ANC’s website. After the customer finishes gathering the products they want to purchase, users will be granted the ability to pay with Binance Pay. For customer convenience, ANC Pharmacy allows customers to pick up their orders at preferred locations.
Binance Pay currently supports over 70 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC) and Tether (USDT).
Although Binance didn’t issue a separate announcement, Binance’s CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao used Twitter to celebrate the news.
It is not the first time Binance is collaborating with Ukrainian suppliers. In September, Binance announced a collaboration with Ukrainian supermarket chain Varus, which allows Ukrainians to pay for their goods and services in Varus stores using Binance Pay Wallet.
